Cheval d'Orient Collection
The mysterious and distinctive Orient inspired the masters of Hermes to create the Cheval d'Orient collection. His famous Persian carpets, colorful and lively bazaars, ancient oriental miniatures – all this is reflected in the new line of tableware.
To work on this series, the brand's artists studied the collection of the Adrien Dubouche National Porcelain Museum in Limoges and exhibits from the personal collection of Emile Hermes himself, dedicated to oriental culture. The ornaments traditional for Persia, in which rich colors and gilding are organically intertwined, horse harnesses and Arabian horses became the basis for Cheval d'Orient.
The theme of horses and equipment for riders is special for the brand Hermes, which once started with a small saddlery workshop. The very name of the collection can be translated as "Horses of the East", all the objects are permeated by a sincere love for these noble animals.
