Bleus d'Ailleurs collection

Admiration for Asian culture and the craftsmanship of Chinese artisans inspired the designers of the House Hermes to create a collection Bleus d'Ailleurs, which literally translates as "distant blue". The main color of the series was chosen cobalt blue, reminiscent of Chinese Tsinghua porcelain.

Unlike traditional Chinese porcelain, the theme for the new Hermes set is based on natural motifs: flowers, leaves, and honeycombs. As in nature, the patterns of the series have pronounced symmetry only at first glance, but upon closer examination, you can find that each honeycomb, each petal, each tiny element of the ornament has small imperfections, which gives them a unique personality. This is the leitmotif of the series, which is emphasized by a bright accent – a contrasting yellow bowl on a blue background.
