The collectible sculpture Daum Spirit of St.Louis, 33x38cm (15290) is not just an interior piece, but an outstanding monument of engineering and decorative art. First introduced in 1989, this model was created by Xavier Froissart in honor of the legendary non-stop flight across the Atlantic. The work is recognized by experts as the most difficult technical task ever realized by the masters of Daum in crystal: the wingspan of 38 cm and the total length of 33 cm require incredible precision casting and polishing.
The uniqueness of this specimen lies in its impeccable condition. The main feature of the model is an ultra—thin crystal propeller, which is recognized as the most fragile part in the brand's range. Due to the extremely high complexity of production and fragility during transportation, many of the original 250 pieces were damaged before reaching private collections. Thus, the actual number of perfect copies preserved to this day is significantly less than the stated circulation, which elevates the "Spirit of St. Louis" to the rank of the "holy grail" for Daum collectors.
With an impressive weight of over 3 kg, the sculpture demonstrates the purity and transparency of French crystal of the highest quality. Every line of the fuselage and the plane of the wing are calibrated to the millimeter, creating a dynamic image frozen in transparent matter. This product represents a high investment value and will become the centerpiece of an office or private meeting, symbolizing the spirit of adventure, the triumph of will and the unsurpassed skill of French glassblowers.
